Brzzy partners with Giphy to bring more fun to weather forecasts
Last update July 1st, 2025
The weather app built for fun launches a full GIF library in partnership with GIPHY, because sometimes, "cloudy with a chance of ugh" says it best.
Most weather apps show you the forecast. Brzzy shows you the forecast as GIF.
What started as a passion project by Gabriel M., a founder obsessed with weather and internet culture, has turned into a viral movement: a weather app that pairs every forecast with a matching GIF. Now, Brzzy has teamed up with GIPHY to launch a full library of animated weather GIFs, because let’s face it, sometimes 82º and humid just feels like a personal attack.
“Brzzy was built because weather shouldn’t be boring,” says Gabriel. “We match real forecasts with the perfect mood: from heatwave meltdowns to that smug walk you take when the sun finally shows up.”
And now, with Brzzy’s growing collection of branded GIFs, new users can discover Brzzy anywhere they search for weather with GIPHY. Whether it's rain, shine, or something in between, Brzzy taps into the shared human experience of weather weirdness, one relatable GIF at a time.
And yes, it’s all searchable on GIPHY now.
Born From the Storm
Gabriel’s journey with Brzzy started like a lot of good internet ideas: too much time spent talking about the weather. But instead of building another app full of radar maps and barometric pressure charts (no offense, science), he built something with personality.
“I kept thinking, what if weather updates worked like social posts? What if your morning forecast felt like a vibe check?” Gabriel explains. “So I started building Brzzy.”
What followed was a bootstrapped sprint of designing tiles, testing emojis, and ultimately, creating an entire forecast feed that feels like scrolling your own personal weather meme stream. The GIFs were always part of it, but teaming up with GIPHY took things to another level.
Weather That Hits Different
Brzzy’s GIPHY channel now features dozens of animated loops for every weather mood:
– “Too Hot to Function”
– “Rain Ruined My Plans”
– “Perfect Walk Weather”
– “Sleet?! Seriously?!”
It’s a mix of founder led creativity, user feedback, and data. Gabriel tracked which forecasts people shared most, then reverse engineered the perfect GIF reactions.
“This is how you build in public,” he says. “You listen, you iterate, and sometimes you put a dancing thundercloud in a tutu because… why not?(coming soon)”
Weather That Feels Human
Brzzy’s goal isn’t just to tell you the weather, it’s to get you. Whether that’s with a perfectly timed GIF, a one-liner that makes you laugh at a gloomy forecast, or a radar view that actually makes sense, Brzzy is part forecast, part friend.
And Gabriel isn’t stopping here. “I want Brzzy to be the most loved weather brand in the world. Not the biggest. Not the most technical. The most loved. One GIF at a time.”
You can now find Brzzy’s full GIF pack live on GIPHY, ready to drop into group chats, stories, and weather tantrums everywhere.
Forecast: Mostly GIFs. With a high chance of becoming your new favorite weather app.
